 Johnny Cecotto Jr. – 18th

Adrian Zaugg – 15th

Trident Racing completed Race 1 of the GP2 Main Series round at Silverstone with both cars, as Adrian Zaugg and Johnny Cecotto respectively ended up in 15th and 18th place. The race itself was pretty linear, with both the team's drivers avoiding mistakes. Unfortunately, the outcome was heavily conditioned by the low starting spots on the grid.

The British round of the GP2 will come to a close on Sunday with Race 2. Zaugg is set to take off from row 8, while Cecotto is set for a spot on row 9. The race, set to start at 10:35 CET, will be televised live in Italy by RAI2.

Adrian Zaugg. “I was expecting something more from today's race, but the general performance hasn't been consistent in every split lap. The start hasn't been bad, as I managed to keep position. In the initial stages, I also climbed back, but I was forced to settle at the end of a lengthy battle with Valerio.

Johnny Cecotto Jr. “I got a quite good start, and before even reaching the Copse corner all the cars shut the door and I preferred to avoid any possible risk. Then I lost a couple of spots while fighting with other cars, and I was not really lucky when, before pitting, I found in front a couple of cars that had already made their stops, and I lost some valuable time”
