As Race 2 got completed on Sunday, Trident Racing rounded out the fourth meeting of the 2010 GP2 Main Series. While Adrian Zaugg was able to take the checkered flag at the end of the 21 scheduled laps, Cecotto was forced to retire with 2 laps to go when his engine suddenly turned off.

Zaugg's race was conditioned by a pass-through penalty. The South African, who was slowed down by another car at the start, got into trouble during the first lap. As a consequence, the stewards decided to penalize him with a drive into the pits.

The British trip of Trident Racing proved really problematic in terms of results. The team is already working hard tough, in order to line-up strong for the second half of the series. The Hockenheim round, in Germany, is set to start in two weeks.

Adrian Zaugg. “My race proved quite difficult since the start, as I had to use the anti-stall device three times to keep my engine on. After the first few corners I started to battle with Razia. Luiz passed me, but as I had the inside line for the following corner, I tried to outbrake him and retake the spot. Unfortunately, he shut the door, and there's nothing else to do at the point to avoid an impact. I believe it's most due to bad luck, but I've been penalized with a drive-through. In addition to that, my steering was bent. It's been good to have come safe to the checkered flag...”

Johnny Cecotto Jr. “This weekend has been really unfortunate for me, as my engine died with two laps to go. After such a tough race, I was expecting to make it to the end at least. I'm really looking forward to the next round at Hockenheim. For the first time I'll be able to race on a track I already learned. I'll be able to start optimizing my car's set-up since the first lap turned, without having to lose time in familiarization.”
